 are sanctioned by the Australian National Kennel Council as an approved canine discipline.

Retrieving Trails are outdoor events where a handler and his dog simulate hunting. The dog is trained to retrieve items which have been placed (seen or unseen) in a paddock under stringent rules and adjudicated by a qualified judge.
